The annual meeting took place the premises of IHLIA, one of the largest archives for LGBTIQ+ history. The main topic of the event was diversity and difference in the historical records, and the difference between “monothematic” lesbian and gay archives and LGBTIQ archives. Theses topics were addressed in various lectures and workshops.
Reports on queer and trans archives in English-speaking countries provided a starting point to discuss the archives’ collection policies. The participants presented finds from their archives, which illustrated the diversity of the materials in their respective institutions. These discussion were continued in small groups which gathered suggestions for good archival practice.
